v.4.0 Release!


Hello! This is the release of version 4.0 for Vanilla Plus. This version focuses on adding new enemies and bosses, as well as buffing some classes.

  • Unit Cost/Tier Changes:
    • Paladin: 1 -> 3
    • Advisor: 2 -> 1
    • Host: 3 -> 1
  • New Units:
    • Scourge - Tier: 3 - Voider/Curser/Swarmer: Applies a DoT curse and spawns a Voider critter that also apples DoT curses.
    • Hierophant - Tier: 3 - Healer/Nuker: Has an aura that follows it, enemies killed inside of it will drop healing orbs.
    • Tormentor - Tier: 2 - Curser: Applies a permanent stackable curse to enemies that increases all damage they take from all sources.
    • Brute - Tier: 3 - Ranger/Warrior: Fires a storm of 20 bullets every 10 seconds. Like a minigun.
    • Genius - Tier: 2 - Psyker/Rogue: Throws a piercing knife that becomes homing after hitting 3 enemies. Then, it will decay in DMG with each subsequent hit.
    • Acolyte - Tier: 3 - Curser/Revenant: Applies the permanent apathy curse to nearby enemies, reducing their max HP.
    • Spy - Tier: 3 - Ranger/Curser: Applies the bug curse to nearby enemies, causing them to shoot out a set number of projectiles at other nearby enemies.
    • Seer - Tier: 3 - Healer/Curser: Temporarily curses a nearby enemy, the curse will make the enemy drop a healing orb if killed.
    • Martyr - Tier: 2 - Revenant/Healer: Deals damage to self and heals all other allies.
    • Comedian - Tier: 1 - Curser: Deals instant damage to nearby enemies (curse), increasing for each curse the enemies have applied to the.
  • 21 New Items. Mostly Revenant, Curser and Psyker related.
  • 2 New Enemies:
    • Husher (Color: Revenant Grey): These enemies will aim at your units and silence the ones with the highest DMG, pausing their cooldown. They can only silence a set number of times, increasing as NG+ goes up.
    • Lucky (Color: Mercenary Gold): These enemies are very rare, only having a 1 in 1000, or 0.1% chance to replace a regular enemy. They will be invulnerable for a few seconds after spawning, and drop several gold upon death, increasing as NG+ goes up.
  • 3 New Elites. These new elites do not replace the old ones, instead, when you enter an elite stage, it will select a random elite from a set pool. Additionally, before entering a stage, the game will now tell you what boss you're about to fight.
    • Shooter (Color: White) - Mutually exclusive with Exploder Elite - Appears in lv. 12: Shoots at the player, with one of the following projectile formations chosen at random: a burst of 5 projectiles (like a regular white shooter enemy), a fan of 10 projectiles (like the Outlaw), or 3 projectiles that spiral outwards (like the Spellblade). Each attack has differing damage. Appears in tandem with shooter enemies
    • Shaman (Color: Sorcerer Blue) - Mutually exclusive with Spawner Elite - Appears in lv. 18: Mass heals all nearby enemies. Appears in tandem with healer enemies. Cannot heal self, and will not be healed by other healer enemies.
    • Headbutter (Color: Orarnge) - Mutually exclusive with Tank Elite - Appears in lv. 24: Charges at the player every few seconds. Appears in tandem with other headbutter enemies. Charges faster than a regular headbutter enemy, and has unlimited range.
  • All of the new Elites scale with NG+. The final elite (Randomizer) has received 3 new attacks for each of the new elites.
  • Spawner (Purple) enemies now periodically spawn enemy critters.
  • Revenant set bonus chance to instakill non-elite enemies increased from 4%/8% -> 5%/10%.
  • Reduced the amount of healing healer enemies give. (p.s. they still heal a lot)
  • Buffed/nerfed/changed some units.
